- Cashback allows you to save money shopping both online or instore at hundreds of participating retailers that are willing to pay for your custom. Unlike a discount which is taken off your bill at the point of sale, cashback is a rebate given to you after you have purchased the goods or services. The retailers pay us and we pass maximum rewards on to you. Simple!
Because cashbackcard.com has so many members and a massive distribution network, we can guarantee you the best cashback deals and in most cases beat any other discount or cashback scheme. We deal in bulk and promote our merchants and retailers through direct word of mouth in conjunction with independentpromoter.com (coming soon) thus allowing us to generate large “marketing fees” from the retailers which we can then share with you, the member. - First you need to create a Cash Back Card account. It’s free to join and you can start collecting cashback from top brands straight away!
Upon joining your email address will act as your username which you will use along with your chosen password to login every time you use Cashbackcard's services.
Once you have joined, you will be sent an activation email with a link which you must click to activate your account. From then on, you can login with your email and password at the top right of the homepage.
When shopping online, it is important that you always make sure that you login to cashbackcard.com before visiting a retailer and purchasing. Otherwise you will bypass the tracking process and not receive your cashback reward. After logging in to cashbackcard.com, search for categories, products, or specific businesses and follow the links from within the site to the retailer you wish to purchase from. This link tracks your activity and enables us to award any due cashback. The retailer’s website will then open in a new window. From then on, simply shop as you would normally. Remember the prices on the site are the same as any other customer going direct to that retailer but you will receive your cashback at the advertised rate once our reconciliations department has collected transactions reports and marketing fees from that retailer. Your cashback balance will then be updated accordingly. Sometimes cashback is awarded and approved immediately but other times, it may show as pending for up to 60 days.
When shopping instore, simply use your Cashbackcard.com prepaid card anywhere you see the Cashbackpoint logo. Additionally, black cardholders will collect cashback everywhere they use the card at all busiensses who accept card.
Once the transaction is complete, Cashbackcard will collect marketing fees from these businesses which will be broken down and your cashback balance will be updated accordingly.
Please note that while some retailers pay their fees straight away, others can take up to 60 days.
Occasionally, you may wish to return your goods or be dissatisfied with the service and be unwilling to pay. In this instance, the transaction will be reversed which will in turn lead to your cashback reward being withdrawn.
NB When buying a product or service from a retailer’s website, you must complete the purchase as soon as possible to avoid the system timing out and losing track of your purchase.
Avoid
- waiting hours to complete the purchase
- closing your browser window
- going directly to the retailer’s website (as you will bypass the tracking link and lose out on your cashback)
- leaving the retailer’s website before completing the purchase process
Any of these actions may result in us being unable to track your transaction with the retailer assuming you did not come from Cashbackcard.com. We will therefore be unable to invoice for our marketing fee leading to you missing out on your cashback.
- Everyone is eligible for cashback assuming they meet the following criteria:
- You provide us with a valid email address and password
- You are at least 18 years old and live in the UK
- You have a valid home mailing address in the UK (we do not accept PO Boxes)
- You agree to Cashbackcard’s Terms & Conditions.
- After submitting your registration, you will be sent an activation email to your registered email address. Follow the link to activate your account and you can start collecting cashback straight away.
Depending on your email settings, this email may go into your spam or junk folder. If the email does not appear in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. If you do not receive this email, please contact support@cashbackcard.com with your name, address and email so we may resend your activation email and get you up and running. - If you have forgotten your password, click the forgotten password link and follow the instructions. You will be given a one-time login via your registered email address. On logging in, you MUST select a new password for future use of the website. If you forget your login email address or are still having problems logging in, please contact support@cashbackcard.com with your name, address and phone number.
- As a free member, you are well on your way to collecting cashback on items you would purchase anyway on a day to day basis online. Once registered, you can search for top brand names or simply browse what is available. You can also search through individual categories.
- In order to ensure your transactions are tracked by Cashbackcard.com and you collect cashback there are a few things you need to ensure:
- that your browser allows cookies and java script
- that your existing cookie cache is cleared each time you make a new transaction to avoid conflicts with other stored cookies from other sites - this will be available if you click Tools in the majority of browsers
- that your security / anti-virus software or parental controls recognise cashbackcard.com as a “safe” site so as to allow cookies when making a transaction
- that your pop-up blocker is disabled as some of the retailers use pop-ups to open pages essential to your transaction
- that your InPrivate browsing is disabled (a feature of Internet Explorer 8)
Assuming full tracking is possible, make sure you are logged in to cashbackcard.com and simply click on the links to the retailers, find the product(s) or service(s) you want and complete your purchase. Cashbackcard will then invoice the retailers for the marketing fees and award cashback based on the size of your spend. Whilst some merchants report instantly and pay within 14 days, others may take longer so please allow up to 60 days for your cashback balance to be updated.
You can check your cashback balance at any time by visiting your “My Account” area at cashbackcard.com.
NB On each merchant page, you will see the cashback amount but please note the cashback available is “up to” this amount hence may not always match the value stated. - Unlike other reward schemes, Cashbackcard will never restrict you as to how much cashback you can collect. The more you spend, the more you collect.
The only restriction is a maximum amount of cashback you can collect as a free member without certain checks. To comply with the Money Laundering Regulations 2007, certain checks must be carried out to confirm your identity if you withdraw £1200 per annum or more. When you approach this level Cashbackcard will contact you requesting the relevant documents to confirm your identity.
Retailers may limit your ability to collect cashback in conjunction with other offers such as vouchers or coupon codes. If you are in any doubt, feel free to email support@cashbackcard.com or check any additional terms and conditions of the cashback provided by the retailer.
NB From time to time, retailers may alter their cashback percentage or fixed amount. Cashbackcard will always endeavour to alert you to any changes or updates but please bear in mind that we cannot honour a previously advertised rate of cashback. We can only deliver cashback based on the rate set by the retailer at the time of your transaction. Please also be aware that some items may not be eligible for cashback. We will do our best to alert you to such exclusions.
Please also note that at present we only offer membership to those with a registered postal address within the UK. - Cashbackcard aims to award cashback within 14 days from the point of sale but may take up to 60 days to allow for reporting and payment from the participating merchants. Please make a note of any reference or confirmation numbers from transactions completed through cashbackcard.com as this will aid any investigation should your cashback not be awarded on time or if there is a problem with tracking your transaction.
- Once logged in, you can click on any of the links to our retailers. Because of this link, the retailer records your cashbackcard.com user ID and links it to any purchases you make. At the end of each week, the retailer then compiles a report to our affiliate network who then tell us how much you have spent (linked to your user ID). Please make sure cookies are allowed, java script is enabled and if using IE8 as your browser, that InPrivate browsing is disabled.
Once compiled within our systems, the cashback reward will show up in your account area ("My Account") as pending for that transaction. We will then invoice the retailer and once payment is completed, award you with your cashback. The transaction will then appear as completed and your cashback balance will be updated accordingly. - When a purchase is made, the retailers may report back to us immediately but some may take up to 60 days. If you are in any doubt as to whether or not your transaction was tracked, please contact us a support@cashbackcard.com. Make sure you have a note of your transaction reference or confirmation number with the retailer so we can identify the purchase. We will also require the date of transaction and a brief description of your purchase. After you have contacted us, we will start investigating right away but please be aware that it may take several weeks to fully investigate any claim or discrepancy.
Please make sure you contact us as soon as you suspect a transaction has not been tracked as we are unable to track transactions made more than 90 days prior due to high transaction volumes. - There are 3 transaction statuses. These are pending, approved and declined. Should your cashback be declined and you feel this is incorrect, e.g. you did not return the item or cancel the purchase and should therefore receive cashback, please contact us with the relevant details including your email address, transaction date, a brief description of the purchase and any transaction reference number you may have.
- Returns, exchanges and cancellations are subject to each individual retailer’s return policy. In such an instance, any cashback awarded because of such a transaction will be withdrawn from your balance.
- All transactions are logged by our participating merchants who in turn pass reports to our affiliation department where all information is collated and reported to Cashbackcard. We then calculate your cashback. The merchants are then invoiced for your cashback and our marketing fees which must be paid before we can allocate cashback and share our profits with you, the member. Whilst the majority of merchants pay their invoices within 14 days, others may take slightly longer due to individual guarantee or returns periods. Hence Cashbackcard cannot be held responsible for delays in payments from merchants. We do however make every effort to collect marketing fees on time and pass the rewards on to you immediately. Therefore, from time to time, your purchases may take longer than normal to show up in your account.
Please also note that some retailers only pass on payments after their guarantee or returns period has expired which may take up to 60 days.
Aside from delays if you were not correctly logged in as a cashbackcard.com member at the time of purchase or that the retailer's system had problems notifying us of your cashback, your purchase may not show up in the report.
In such circumstances, Cashbackcard cannot be held liable for delayed or untracked payments. We will however, do our very best to resolve any issues. Please refer to FAQ #7, “How do I collect cashback?” to make sure you have done everything possible to ensure your purchase is tracked and qualifies for cashback. If you feel you may have lost out on a cashback reward or that your transaction was not properly tracked, please contact us at support@cashbackcard.com with your full name, email address and details of the transaction. Also make sure you have a note of your transaction reference or confirmation number with the retailer so we can identify the purchase. We will then investigate the matter and let you know the outcome as quickly as possible. - To qualify to withdraw your cashback, you must have accrued a minimum of £50 or more in your cashback account through qualified transactions.
Qualified transactions are completed transactions which are up to 60 days old – to allow for refunds, reporting and payments from participating retailers/merchants. As long as your account information is up to date with your correct postal address, you can withdraw your cashback directly onto your Cashbackcard.com prepaid card card if you have one. - You can update your details by going to your “My Account” page and clicking “My Profile”. If changing your registered email address for whatever reason, you must contact support@cashbackcard.com and verify this address as your own for security purposes as this will act as your username for future use of the service. If you are having problems with updating your account, please contact support@cashbackcard.com stating the nature of the problem. Please also include your name, address and if appropriate, your previously registered email address to speed up your request.
- The Cashbackcard Prepaid card: As soon as you register, you will have the ability to order your card straight away. There are 2 types of card, the red and the black. The red card is a pay-as-you-go card allowing you to collect 0.5% cashback everywhere you use it and increased cashback premium merchants displaying the Cashbackpoint logo. The black card on the other hand, allows you to collect 1% cashback everywhere you use it as well as MAXIMUM cashback at premium merchants displaying the Cashbackpoint logo.
All you need to do is select your card, complete your payment for printing, postage and packaging and your card will be sent out within 10 working days. In conjunction with Cashbackpoint, we guarantee the best cashback rewards and the most value for money of any prepaid card. - Cashbackcard works by negotiating better cashback rewards with retailers through the collective voice of our members. The more members, the better cashback rates we can negotiate. We want you to refer your friends so they can benefit from fantastic rewards too. As soon as you have ordered your card, you can join our referral marketing partner, Independent Promoter by following the link to the Referral Programme in your My Account. Using your invite link to refer friends and colleagues, as soon as they join and start spending online through cashbackcard.com or instore at Cashbackpoint businesses using their Cashbackcard, participating merchants will pay you 0.25% cashback on whatever your referred members put through their till. There is no limit to how many friends you invite to join and anyone can refer friends using their unique user ID.
- No. Our terms and conditions strictly prohibit multiple accounts. To make the service fair for members and merchants, Cashbackcard.com limits each member to one active account at any one time.
- You can find the Terms & Conditions of use for cashbackcard.com at the bottom of each page. You must agree to these before joining cashbackcard.com so if you are unsure of anything before joining or carrying out a transaction, please refer to them before doing so.
- Cookies are small text files stored on your computer which both cashbackcard.com and the retailers use to track your transactions in order to award your cashback. Some retailers also use java script for transaction tracking. Therefore, you must ensure you have both cookies and javascript enabled on your browser to make sure you qualify for cashback.
- Cashbackcard.com is committed to preserving your personal privacy and will never share, rent or sell your email address, postal address or any other data we hold about you to any third party outside of those directly associated with Cashbackcard Ltd.

- When you receive your card, you will need to activate it. On the front of your card you will see a sticker with the number to call. Dial 0207 125 0267 and from here, you will be able to activate your card and retrieve your PIN.
For activation, press 1. You will then be asked to enter your card number and press # followed by your CV2 number, the last 3 digits printed at the top right of your signature strip on the back of your card.
As long as these are correct, it will ask you for your date of birth which should be entered as two digits for day and month, and four digits for year (dd, mm, yyyy, e.g. 01, 02, 1970). Then wait until prompted before moving on or pressing any other keys. (You may be asked to press 1 if correct so please do this if and when instructed and wait for the clicks.) In these cases, do not press the # key.
As long as these details are entered correctly, it will not transfer you. Only where your details are entered incorrectly several times will you be transferred but please note, there is a nominal charge of £1 for this call transfer so please hang up if you do not wish to be transferred and try again. Alternatively contact support@cashbackcard.com and we will be happy to respond as quickly as possible within normal working hours.
Assuming you are successful and your details were entered correctly, you will then be told your card is activated. You will then be asked to select your phone security code which you select yourself and confirm so please make sure this is memorable. If you forget your phone security code, please contact support@cashbackcard.com and we can reset this for you after going through a few security questions.
You will then be told your PIN which you should make a secure note of. If you like, you can then change this to something more memorable at any major high street ATM for free. - This is the code you select yourself in order to access the phone banking facility in future where you can check your balance, retrieve your PIN, check recent transactions and speak to a customer support operator. Please note that calls to Customer Support are charged at a flat rate of £1 on top of your normal call charges so if you do not wish to pay this, please contact support@cashbackcard.com and your email will be answered as quickly as possible within normal working hours.
- Please contact support@cashbackcard.com and we will request some additional information from you to confirm your identity for security reasons. We will then reset your phone security code so that when you call the number again, i.e. 0207 127 0422, you can select a new one.
- All you need to do is call the automated customer support helpline on 0207 127 0422 and select option 1. Following that, enter your card number followed by the # key and you will then be asked for your telephone banking security code which is the 4 digit code you selected when you activated. (If you have forgotten your telephone security code, please refer to the FAQ 3.) After that, select option 2 to hear your PIN.
- Please refer to the Prepaid Card User Guide (pdf) for instructions on how to load. Alternatively, loading instructions and timescales are available at the top of this page.
Please note that timescales are based on when we receive cleared funds from you and NOT when you send them. Hence if we receive funds on a Tuesday (regardless of when they were sent), your load would be completed on Thursday around lunchtime and available to view for free via the Manage My prepaid Card section of cashbackcard.com. No loads will take place on bank or public holidays.
We are working on other loading methods and will notify you when these have been implemented.
If you do not have internet banking, you can also call or go in to your own bank and request a transfer of funds to our account but please ensure this is referenced correctly with your Customer Account number (also known as your CAN) so we know whose card to load the funds onto. You can also set up a standing order to make regular top-ups to your card but again, this customer account number must be in place as a reference.
N.B. Please note that the account number and sort code specified are those of the our account and they are NOT your account number and sort code. They should not be used for any purpose other than to make deposits to load your Cashbackcard in line with the instructions given. Any unauthorised use may result in termination of your cashbackcard.com membership and loss of funds, including cashback and any remaining card balance.
When using internet banking to transfer funds making sure the reference you give is your account number as found on the back of your card at the top, you may require a Card Reader to add a new payee. Please contact your bank who should be able to supply one if they have not already. - The main fees which affect you on a daily basis are as follows:
All PIN changes are free whereas ATM balance checks are 25p. You can check your balance for free in the Manage My Prepaid Card section on cashbackcard.com.
Red card: These have no monthly fee but all loads carry a fee of £2.
Black card: There is a £6 monthly fee but all internet bank transfer loads are free. - The first time you login to Manage My Prepaid Card, you will be asked for random characters of your Security Code. This can be found at the bottom of your introductory letter to which your card was attached.
You will only be required to enter this once for security purposes. From then on, each time you click on Manage My Prepaid Card, you will go straight through to see your balance and transactions. - You can check your balance at any major ATM or for free online at cashbackcard.com in your Manage My Prepaid Card section.
N.B. In some instances, when you check your balance at an ATM, you may see two balances displayed. This is the case at all Lloyds TSB ATMs.
For example you may see £5 and £10 displayed. The first one, i.e. £5 is your actual card balance whereas the second one is your available card balance PLUS the total of any unsettled transactions. This may happen where the money has been set aside by a retailer/merchant but they have not yet collected it. Examples of such merchants are Amazon and Paypal where they set aside funds for a payment that has still to be collected. If the payment is not collected and cancelled, this “pending” transaction value will be returned to your available balance. - You can view all your transactions in your Manage My Prepaid Card section.
- Cashbackcard cannot be held responsible for merchants not accepting our prepaid card. The card itself is accepted wherever MasterCard credit cards are accepted as this is the way the merchant terminals view these types of cards.
Other reasons may be insufficient funds or incorrectly entered card details so please make sure you have sufficient funds, any information entered online is correct and that your PIN is entered correctly instore before questioning the acceptance of the card.
NB Cards cannot be used for the following: "Pay at the Pump", online gaming sites, National Lottery, Bingo, Casinos and Betting outlets. - Please call the 24hr Lost & Stolen Helpline on 0207 127 6913. If no-one is available, please email support@cashbackcard.com with your card number, customer account number found on the back of the card and your full name. Your card will be blocked immediately. We will then order you a new card. We may charge you for this at our discretion as we cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen cards.
- If you feel your card has been tampered with during delivery, for example where the envelope has been opened before you receive it, please contact us immediately and we will block the card. We will then issue you another card as a replacement. We may charge you for this at our discretion as we cannot be held liable for any tampering with the postage.
Your new card will then be issued in 7-10 days. - Cashbackcard uses an address verification system which verifies the addresses for 70% of all debit cards in the UK. This is an identity check known as the KYC or Know Your Customer check and is required by law as part of the anti-money-laundering regulations. Please note this is not a credit check and credit checks are never performed by Cashbackcard.
If someone's address is not on that system we have to inform the company and they then update their system once they have looked into it. We can then manually add your card order to the system and issue you with a restricted card.
Additionally, where they may hold your address but their records do not show you as living there (possibly because you have moved house recently or you are not on the electoral role as living there) we will still issue you a card but again it will be restricted.
Restricted means that you are limited in the sense of how much you can load and spend in a year using your card. Exact figures can be found in the fees table of the Card Terms and Conditions document available above.
If you are issued a restricted card, you will be emailed requesting additional documents to upgrade your card and remove any limitations.
NB If you have a restricted card and thus have not passed the KYC check first time, you will not be able to withdraw cash from an ATM. Additionally, when debit card loading is available, this will not be available to those with restricted cards. - Some larger merchants such as Morrisons, Amazon.co.uk and Hotels.com will attempt to put through a test transaction on your card to confirm it is real, active and funded, before proceeding with the full payment. These payments are only pending and will disappear within 7 days. Although this small amount has been set aside from your available balance, when the payment does not complete, this "test" amount will be credited back to your card when the full payment has completed.
- All card transaction will appear straight away in your Manage My Prepaid Card section just as with online purchases appear in your My Cashback section.
- The main reason for this policy is due to potential refunds. This is a cashback company and as such we pay cashback which is paid to us by merchants once a member has spent with them. However, if someone returns an item for whatever reason, we would then have to pay back the marketing fee to the retailer but if we had already paid that out to the member, it would be difficult verging on impossible to ask for or reclaim this cashback.
Because the majority of retailers have a 28 day refund policy, we must adhere to this to alleviate the risk which would be enormous if we paid out sooner across 100,000 members' spends hence the need for this policy going at present.
We will revisit this every 6 months however and based on the level or risk, if it has gone down, we would look to reduce the 28 days in line with that. It will never go beyond 28 days. - Customer Support is currently available by calling 0207 127 0422 between the hours of Monday to Friday, 10am to 5.30pm. There is a £1 charge for calling this number so if you enquiry is not urgent, please email Customer Support at Please refer to the support@cashbackcard.com and we will respond within 24 working hours but normally much sooner.
If your enquiry is urgent and outwith normal working hours, please email support@cashbackcard.com with URGENT in the subject field and we will endeavour to get back to you straight away. - No, unfortunately this is not possible with prepaid cards.
- Neither direct debits nor companion cards are available yet. These options will however come in due course in addition to insurance products such as payment protection insurance attached to the cards.
- Please contact Customer Support if you feel a transaction is not appearing as it should or you feel there is an irregularity with your balance.
Please remember as always, it may take 24-48 hours to respond Monday to Friday and general customer service is closed at weekends. We will however always respond to urgent requests as quickly as possible.

This Payee Reference Number/Account Number is the most important part:
You must enter the 10 digit Customer Account Number (CAN) correctly as this reference number is the most important part for
tracking your top-up. This will tell us who has put the money into the account and which card we need to load it onto.
Please do not add any extra information as it will take us longer due to the systems in place. All we need is your
account number.
It will typically take 1 working day for the funds to appear on your card, but it can take up to
4 working days, depending on the bank involved. Please also note that bank and public
holidays will increase these timescales accordingly.
Loading cash at Natwest banks
You can load your card using cash at any branch of Natwest. To do so, we have provided a paying-in slip with the necessary
details filled in, which you can print out or email to yourself (if logged in). To view, click the link below.
NB These paying-in slips are used for information purposes only and are not needed nor retained by the bank. We simply provide
them digitally so we receive fewer errors.
Please ensure the Natwest bank teller references your transaction correctly by
manually inputting your reference whilst you are at the counter and repeating it back to you. This avoids unidentified loads
and ensures your loads are completed within the stated timeframes.

If you own a bricks and mortar business and have a merchant terminal which accepts payment cards then you are already aware of
the increased turnover which card acceptance brings to your business. The facts are simple – more than 60% of all retail
transactions are now made by card and this is set to rise rapidly as we move towards a 'cashless society'.
